WELCOME TO MY LAKE DISTRICT GUEST HOUSE

Brenda Butterworth invites you to her guest house in Windermere, a Grade II, 17th - 18th Century, listed building.

Built of the traditional Lakeland style, Orrest Head House is situated just above the village of Windermere in the heart of the English Lake District - set in 3 secluded acres of garden, woodland and surrounded on three sides by National Trust farmland.

The Lake District National Park is famous for its stunning scenery, peaceful forests, cascading waterfalls and of course, fell walkers paradise, making it a perfect retreat for a brief weekend or a leisurely holiday.

Orrest Head Guest House is very conveniently situated for Windermere village, the station and buses, all of which are a five minute walk from the guest house. The famous viewpoint of Orrest Head, a favourite walk of Alfred Wainwright is also a five minute walk from us.

Lake Windermere and all its attractions, steamer trips to Lakeside and Ambleside. Also, at Bowness is the Beatrix Potter Attraction, where there is an exhibition of the animals and works of Beatrix Potter.

There are many Lake District activities to do all from our doorstep, so why not come and find out for yourself what the Lake District has to offer.

"Please note for the comfort & safety of all our guests, no smoking is allowed"
